Goal Plan

Goal Plan

My Goals:
I main three goals are definitely graduating high school with a good OP, getting a degree in either marine biology or equine science at the University I'm hoping to go to at the time, and lastly being able to have a career as a marine biologist or and equine vet, as well as being able to travel the world whilst doing so.

In order to get into a marine biology or equine science course I will need to take certain steps. Firstly I'll need to graduate high school with the required OP and prerequisites. I will then need to apply for Universities that will enable me to study equine science or marine biology. I will need to complete and pass my degree and then hopefully I'll be able to find a job involving either of these career options after maybe doing some work experience.

My education goals definitely link with my ideal career as I'm really wanting to do excellent in certain subjects which are prerequisites for my degree, as well as I need a good overall mark for.

I also definitely think this vision board is a good reminder of my future goals that I'mm hoping to achieve as I'll always have something I know I want to work towards.

Trends of the Future

Trends of the Future

What did you find most interesting?
I found the fact that over 60% of the jobs younger students are being trained on will be overtaken and radically changed by the time we're old enough to major in that industry. I find this absolutely mid blowing as most of the jobs that younger people are wanting as a career path may not be an option in the future.

Top Three Growth Industries:
The top three growth industries by 2025 are heath care and social assistance, professional, scientific and technical services, and education and training. I wasn't necessarily surprised by the health care and social assistance industry  as the early 1900s is said to be the baby boomer time. This means that all those babies that were born during the early 1900s are now our grandparents and are getting older by the day. Which means that there will be a massive number of older people coming into age care homes and needing assistance in their daily lives. This will lead to more jobs in this department being open. I am personally interested in the scientific services as I would love to work and help animals, in particular horses or marine life.

Top Tertiary Qualified and Vocational and Trade Jobs:
None of these jobs particularly interest me as I have know interest in working with children or people in schools or hospitals, nor do I want to join the accounting department (sorry mum). However, I want to work with animals and help animals.

Information Technology:
I would definitely say I'm no the most technical person in the world and that there is definitely room for improvement. Way of improving my digital literacy and my technical skills are

Knowing about Trends:
I did find knowing about the trends interesting as some of these jobs you wouldn't believe would be one of the highest qualified or grown industries by 2025. I also believe that knowing about these trends will help greatly with future employees exploring possible career choices as its helpful to know what jobs will have a wide availability for employment.

Exploring Career Options

Exploring Career Options

MARINE BIOLOGIST:
This career option interests me as I have always had a special interest in animals, marine animals in particular. I love researching and learning things about the organisms that live beneath the surface. I have also always been a curious person. I'm interested and curious as to why marine animals do certain things, why they eat certain foods and why people are terrified of certain animals. I want to dig deeper. The pathway I will need to take to become a marine biologist involves graduating high school and getting a degree in marine biology at University. As well as studying the prerequisites, English, math A, B and either Biology or Chemistry. I can also best prepare myself for this career path whilst at school, by doing work experience and studying the recommended subjects such as history.

EQUINE VET
From an early age I loved and had a passion for horses. Being able to help and cure horses daily, I have always wanted. I have the personality traits of a helper and a carer. I believe these traits 100% link to this occupation because as a vet you're helping animals, you're saving their lives. The pathway I would take to be successful in this occupation is by taking the prerequisites such as English and any of the sciences, and either math A or B. As well as by graduating high school and then getting a degree in Equine Science at University. I can also best prepare while at school by doing work experience.

Via Character Strengths

Via Character Strengths

This quiz gave me 24 character strengths, however I chose the two 4 to talk about in this blog.

Forgiveness:
My top strength was forgiveness. I do in some way agree with this because I am a pretty forgiving person. I don't like making people upset even if they make me upset, and I always love giving people a second chance. However, being a forgiving person does scare me. I wouldn't necessarily call it a strength myself, as being an overly forgiving person can cause people to take advantage of that and walk all over you.

Gratitude:
I am definitely a person to show gratitude and always say thank you. I am extremely thankful for everything in my life and when someone does something for me I want them to know that I'm thankful, so I always say thank you. I definitely believe this is a great quality to have and I'm really happy I have this strength. And I agree that this would be in my top four strengths and qualities.

Social Intelligence:
Social Intelligence is the ability to get along well with others, and to get them to cooperate with you. I 100% agree that I have this quality because I like to believe I'm a nice person. I'm someone who always just gets along with others. This quality would definitely come in handy when working in any work place.

Love:
I think this strength kind of ties into social Intelligence. I have close relationships with lots of people because I'm caring and kind person who loves to make friends with everyone.

Overall, I do believe that these 4 qualities are definitely my top 4 strengths.

This quiz suggested career paths such as a Social Worker or a Therapist. I personally don't have any interest in any of these jobs, as although I like to help people, I'm not one who likes to deal with serious issues. I have also always had a passion for working with animals.

16 Personalities

16 Personalities

Mind:
I do agree with my results to an extent. I'm not the type person to get super excited about going out, or meeting new people. I love having time to myself or even with just a few friends, to just hangout and relax. I consider myself an anti-social person I guess, someone who isn't also comfortable or keen to socialize, especially with new people, I just get nervous and anxious. However, I do enjoy going out every once in a while with my friends and having fun. So I do believe I am an introvert however maybe only 60%.

Tactics:
I do agree that I don't always enjoy following a set plan, I like to just go with the flow and be flexible when it come to dealing with both expected and unexpected challenges. However, sometimes, especially in situations I'm unfamiliar with or uncomfortable with I will like a plan, but most the time I just go with the flow.

Identity:
My results said I'm 88% turbulent, which I do agree with. I'm the type of person to get stressed out, however I don't always know why I'm stressed, which makes me even more stressed. However, I can usually overcome the stress by just relaxing and listening to music. I can also be extremely self-conscious in certain situations, such as being around a large number of people. I also have a drive to improve everything I do, and am always eager. All I want is to do my best, which is what turbulent person wants.

Overall, I believe most of my results from this chart are accurate.

My overall result for this whole quiz was that I'm a 'mediator'.

I'm a true idealist. I love to believe there is good in everybody and everything. I'm calm and reserved, however, I have an inner drive and flame to truly shine and do my best.

Mediators are seen as inspired and creative people, who are skilled in poetry, writing and acting. I don't necessarily agree that I'm a creative person, and I am definitely not a poet and I am far from a good writer. However, my parents say I'm good at acting and can be a bit of a drama queen.

Mediators are people who take things personally, and can get quite self-conscious when around others. They are private people who usually keep to themselves however, put in a great deal of effort to make sure everybody's happy.

I personally think I have both these weaknesses, if that's what you would like to call them. I do have a habit of taking things personally, however don't usually show that I'm affected. I do consider myself a reserved person to an extent however can be extremely outgoing when around people I'm comfortable with. I will definitely keep to myself when around unfamiliar people, but can be more out going when with friends. I don't usually share my feelings with people unless I'm in desperate need of a rant, however if I'm and close with the person or feel comfortable, I will usually just spill everything. I do have to agree that I feel guilt a lot. I tend to say things as jokes a lot, however straight after I say it I will always say sorry or just kidding to make sure they didn't take it personally because I feel guilty.

Overall, I do agree that I'm a mediator, and do agree with most of the results given from this quiz.

Lion, Beaver, otter or Golden Retriever

Lion, Beaver, Otter or Golden Retriever

My outcome from this quiz was the Golden Retriever. It states that I am loyal and caring however can be a sensitive person. I don't like the idea of change and only have a few close friends that I'm willing to share my thoughts and feelings too.

I 100% agree that I'm a Golden Retriever. I was actually going to be a little worried if I didn't get it to be honest. I believe I am a caring and loyal person, who is willing to help anyone and everyone. However I can be sensitive at times and take things personally, especially when it comes to bad comments or people putting me down. I have deep relationships, and only with a few close friends, which are usually the only people I'm willing to share my thoughts and feelings with. I'm the type of person who wants to be loved by everyone. I don't like the idea of someone hating me, which is one reason why I'm a nice person.

I would definitely recommend this quiz to a friend as I believe is provides accurate answers, based upon my outcome.
